Welcome to Montemelino, the Green Heart of Italy!
Montemelino is a small agricultural and agritourism estate of just over 60 hectares, located on the northern hills of Trasimeno, in Tuscany Italy. It is around 300 meters above sea level, with a view of the lake and a much loved microclimate offered by the lake basin. The farmhouses overlook Montemelino’s vineyard and have been transformed into traditional Italian apartments. The property is truly spectacular and a special place to retreat. When not practicing yoga, walk the vineyard, bike the rolling hills of Tuscany, swim in the outdoor pool, or enjoy a meal in our very own farm to table restaurant. This is a unique opportunity to restore while diving into Italian culture and the ancient teachings of yoga and Ayurveda.
Retreat Includes:
• Six nights accommodation in a quaint Italian countryside apartment. Each apartment has its own kitchen equipped with appliances, a bathroom, bedroom(s), and spectacular views.
• Daily farm to table breakfast and dinner made by in house chef. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten and lactose free menu on request. One lunch in a surprise stunning location!
• Private transfers from and to Florence or Rome airport
• Three beautiful half day tours in Italian jewell towns between Tuscany and Umbria. Each town is selected by the beautiful property owner, Lucia and are not touristic but authentic local gems!
• One wine tasting
• One light lunch in a stunning location
• One cooking course
• Guided tour of vineyard and mill
And of course daily yoga and Ayurveda classes!

Gretchen Mills
Since 2005 I have studied and taught Yoga with the intention of strengthening my own foundation and to share these teachings with others in a way that is most meaningful for the greater good.
My personal studies are focused on Ayurveda, Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, Yoga Therapy, the Science of Breathing, Meditation, and the science of aging and longevity.
I currently work as an Ayurvedic Practitioner (and only one month shy of completing the Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine program!), a Breathing Consultant for Clinical Studies and Disease Prevention, and always, a teacher of Yoga.
I have led retreats all over the world including Nicaragua, Italy, the Bahamas, Bali, Azores, Portugal, the Florida Keys, India and within the U.S. and I very much look forward to the adventures to come!

10-Day Guided Ayurvedic Community Cleanse

We are well into the fall months now and our bodies have been communicating very different needs for proper nourishment, strength and energy. These bodies are incredibly intelligent and will adapt to the changing of the seasons but there are powerful ways to support this process through food and self care.
This Fall Cleanse is composed of 2 days of preparation, 5 days of cleansing and 3 days of reintegration. The Ayurvedic fall recipes maximize the body's potential to cleanse and adapt to the changing seasons.
This is not a fast, but a nourishing 10 day program consisting of simple foods with detoxifying qualities. It is focused on deepening our relationship with food and the medicine that is when consumed mindfully and intentionally.
It is a powerful experience to participate in this cleanse as a community but if the timing doesn't work out perfectly for you, the platform will allow you to participate in the cleanse at your own pace and from anywhere in the world!
