Daily Ritual

This cleanse will be supported by daily self oil massage, amongst other traditional morning practices. These rituals are intended to realign the body and mind with the natural cycles of nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Ayurvedic Medicine deeply values our relationship to food. This relationship builds through our sensory experience. Intentionally choosing, seeing and preparing the food, and tasting the flavors and quaities of the food is all part of the healing process. Our bodies will communicate more clearly what they need when this experience is refined. When preparing fresh food, the sensory system awakens the digestive system, which is part of all physiological processes in the body.

  • Seasonal cleansing is a traditional, preventive method to support the body in longevity. In addition, if the body is producing symptoms like lethargy, bloating, broken sleep, reflux, or skin irritations a cleanse is a powerful way to clear out accumulated toxins and to bring the body and mind back into balance. Think lighter, brighter, and sharper.

  • There are different approaches to take to the cleanse to support the individual. Although, the structure of an Ayurvedic cleanse will often begin with preparing the body with seasonal pre-cleanse recipes that are intended to give the digestive system a little break with lighter, more easily digestible foods. The main cleanse consists of a wonderful traditional dish called kitchari, which is deeply nourishing and also, very easily digestible with the master formulation of digestive spices to clean up the system! The third part of the cleanse is geared towards reintegrating back into a diet of variety and in the process learning what foods the body doesn’t need or want anymore, and why. Out with the old and in with the new! This cleanse is literally like a good old fashioned spring cleaning!

  • This cleanse is spelled out for you, day by day, so that you can follow along with ease and learn a ton in the process. With that said, the cleanse can be shortened, foods can be taken out or added in (with intention of course). We are here to support you so that the cleanse is nurturing and enjoyable. It is not intended to be rigid or stressful. This is a pure gift for the body and mind!

  • Seasonal cleansing is a tradition that has been practiced for hundreds of years. It is typically integrated into life in the spring and the fall. It is not limited to these times however, as the body is a moving target and needing maintenance all of the time, not just twice a year! The way and amount that we cleanse is dependent on our lifestyles, potential symptoms, and our doshas (strange word with more about this in the cleanse!)
